The Studlock 9ER Floating Shelf bracket is designed to be the most installation friendly shelf bracket you will ever use. With Studlock's patent pending design consisting of a screw hole every inch along the bracket, you can mount your shelf anywhere on your wall regardless of where your studs are located. This is extremely important - especially on walls where you will need an exact placement for your mantel. In addition to the versatility of placement, our brackets have simplified your floating shelf installation process. There are basically 3 steps - 1) Drill holes into the rear of your shelf using the jig for the bracket rods 2) Use a router to remove grooved area in rear of shelf for shelf to fit flat against wall and 3) Mount the bracket to the wall. Your mantel then simply slides over your bracket. This will save you a lot of time, and in the end, you will have a shelf strong enough to hold 100 pounds per stud.
