Milled Mushroom boards. We take each board and run them through a table saw getting a nice straight smooth edge for easy installation. Each board is approximately 1" x 7" x 12'. This is for standard installation on vertical walls within our service area.
Mushroom board is one of the newest reclaimed wood varieties on the market. Mushroom board is used in commercial mushroom growing. Mushrooms grow well on softwoods like hemlock, cypress and cedar. These boards are great for growing mushrooms on because they can withstand the deterioration from soil and moisture. These are the key ingredients to growing succulent mushrooms'!
We offer hemlock reclaimed mushroom board. These boards soak up the minerals and such from the growing mushroom crop and during that process the surface is a beautifully sculpted surface. The patina left after the mushrooms are harvested is one of a kind and very difficult to reproduce. The open grain, smooth surfaces make for a great look on any ceiling, wall or as siding on the exterior of a home or building.
The wonderful thing about mushroom board is that there is no staining or sealant needed, it can just be allowed to age gracefully and it remains beautiful years later. Our mushroom boards go through a rigourous process to get them ready for your home. We have each piece cleaned of organic soil, kiln dried and then wire brushed. We also offer edge ripping so you can get straight edges on each piece for easy install.
